Yellow Door Ceramics

Milky Way Complex

Project Overview

Boaz Construction proudly presents the newly expanded Yellow Door Ceramics studio, now occupying a 2,200 square-foot space within the Milky Way Complex, previously a boiler room of the historic Old Roberts Dairy HQ & Warehouse. This renovation involved substantial infrastructure demolition followed by critical upgrades. Efforts were made to preserve the original exposed masonry and steel, enhancing structural integrity while maintaining its industrial charm. Features include a new, large glass garage door illuminated for enhanced visibility and a distinctive exterior entrance wrapped in Yellow 3M vinyl, aligning with the studio’s branding.

Electrical capabilities have been significantly enhanced with a 600 Amp clean 3-phase power system. Additional improvements include an ADA-compliant restroom, a new rooftop unit (RTU) for efficient climate control, and secured access both internally and externally. Completing the transformation, the entrance is accented by a 29-foot-long concrete planter, enriching the aesthetic and welcoming visitors into this creatively revitalized space.
